#TPT - He came for the hate but stayed for the love
Glenn Greenwald's early failure at cultural supremacy
Happy Twadpockle Thursday (#TPT)! Today’s link of consequence is a rare moment of introspection in Western (ex)corporate journalism.
Glenn Greenwald should have known from the start that he was not cut out to be a boot-licking corporate journalist, even at a formerly semi-independent, kinda-used-to-be-decent place like The Guardian, when he had this experience in his twenties:

He went to troll the Townhall online community of religious conservatives, assuming—as he tells it—that he would run rings around their puny stunted souls with his big-brained NYC gay Jewish lawyer debate skillz, and instead he ended up making friends and having a great time at their annual in-person meetup.
We left-the-Left American Jews tend to have a story like this. They are fun to collect and trade.
This is the clip I meant to share as #TPT a few weeks ago. After Glenn summarizes his late husband’s friendship with a Brazilian conservative politician, he shifts to his Townhall story.
