#TPT - The history of medicine and the founding of the AMA
Sarah Thompson's live talk at Porcfest 2024
I always assumed homeopathy was a hoax, until it cured my allergies.
That is, Sarah Thompson, a shamanic homeopath, succeeded where the whole roster of conventional Medical Doctors (and one DO, and for that matter an acupuncturist), had failed me for decades.

In the AMA’s defense, the allergy shots I had as a teenager really did eliminate my symptoms, but when I moved for college less than a year later, I met a whole new crop of airborne particles to which I had no tolerance, and the symptoms came back with a vengeance. I was even allergic to CATS. (AYKM? I LOVE cats. I grew up SNUGGLING CATS!)
In over thirty years (and many thousands of dollars) hence, I have tried “all the things” offered by standard American medicine, including another round of shots in my current home state, but they all failed or brought only mild relief, no better than over-the-counter allergy pills such as Claritin.
So I took a Claritin a day for several decades to blunt my symptoms. All the same symptoms still bothered me, but they were usually mild-to-medium and only rarely became debilitating. Every few years, I would try going off those pills, just to make sure I still needed them. And I did.
I have COVID to thank
for introducing me to homeopathy. After I resigned from my corporate job (federal defense contractor) due to aftershocks of the Covid Regime, I joined a group of people seeking an independent, entrepreneurial existence.
The group does not favor alternative medicine, but let’s just say we are all more open-minded than ever about TEH SCIENCE™. A member ran a webinar about her practice of homeopathy, and I was surprised to learn that homeopathy is based on natural principles and empirical knowledge. Thinking I had nothing to lose, I decided to ask her about my complex of respiratory issues, including sleep apnea and allergies.
In the first couple of months, her remedies allowed me to stop taking the daily allergy pill. I still have the same mild symptoms as when taking the pills, but without the pills. In fact, I no longer even take the remedy. I take nothing. And since then (about a year later), the symptoms have gradually lessened. They are now about half as severe as before.

The member giving that webinar was Sarah Thompson of Inner Sea Homeopathy.
Earlier this year, she gave the following talk on the history of medical thought, the rise of the AMA, and today’s failure of technocratic, cartelized medicine.
